Diamond was approached by film producer Frank Capra, Jr. to write and produce the title song for Capra’s movie, "Paradise," starring Phoebe Cates. The "Theme From Paradise" became a gold and platinum record, selling 712,000 copies in Italy alone, and remained #1 for 22 weeks. It also became the vehicle for Diamond to land Cates an entire album deal with CBS International. |
